Training a dog is certainly the responsibility of the pet owner or handler, therefore some pets will be more well-mannered than others, regardless what breed they are. Still, we have found that certain dog breeds have a reputation for being difficult to handle, being stubborn, or inclined towards disobedience if they are not instructed with a consistent firm hand. While ranking which dog breeds show the fastest respond times to commands, it was the Afghan Hound to come in last place.\u00a0 Let this be a warning to prospective pet parents who are considering adding one of these shaggy pups to their family.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1189\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1189\" style=\"width: 800px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-1189\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/pawversity.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/Bullmastiff-Dog.jpg?resize=800%2C545\" alt=\"Bullmastiff\" width=\"800\" height=\"545\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1189\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Bull Mastiff<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>Bull Mastiffs:<\/strong>\u00a0 These dogs are enormous in stature, and can be difficult to manage.\u00a0 They do not typically get along well with other dogs, nor are the very controlled when it comes to predatory instincts.\u00a0 Pet owners have to work very hard to teach these animals to resist their instincts and yield to authority.\u00a0 (Be warned, they are not the most hygienic of beasts either!)<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_2572\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2572\" style=\"width: 650px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2572\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/pawversity.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/chow-chow-dog.jpg?resize=650%2C433\" alt=\"Chow Chow Dog\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.petrofile.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/chow-chow-dog.jpg?w=650&amp;ssl=1 650w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.petrofile.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/chow-chow-dog.jpg?resize=300%2C200&amp;ssl=1 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 650px) 100vw, 650px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-2572\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Chow Chow<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>Chow Chow:<\/strong>\u00a0 The Chow Chow resembles a teddy bear while young, but they can be ferociously independent when they grow up. They are inclined towards severe separation anxiety, and destructive behaviors if left alone too long. Because of this, these dogs are quick-witted, determined animals that are extremely high energy. If left alone in the house, these pups can turn the room upside-down with their foraging, exploring, and general raucous.
