Below is a list of foods that should NEVER be fed to a dog or cat:<\/p>\n<h2>Things you should never feed your dog<\/h2>\n<p>While many food may seem harmless, pet owners must be wary of \u201chealthy\u201d food for humans which may cause dangerous reactions in their canine pals. Some of these items include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>alcohol<\/li>\n<li>avocado (which has persin and is bad for puppy intestines)<\/li>\n<li>onion powders<\/li>\n<li>cooked bones (which can splinter)<\/li>\n<li>coffee<\/li>\n<li>chocolate (which is filled with unhelpful theophylline)<\/li>\n<li>corn kernels (which can block intestines)<\/li>\n<li>moldy food<\/li>\n<li>macadamia nuts (which have led to canine paralysis)<\/li>\n<li>potato peels (these are full of solanine, which causes digestive issues)<\/li>\n<li>grapes and raisins (which have pollutants known to kill pups from liver and kidney failure)<\/li>\n<li>multivitamins<\/li>\n<li>peaches\/plums (whose seeds ruin intestines when eaten)<\/li>\n<li>sugar, candy, gum and yeast (all of which cause serious strain to digestion, gas, nausea and even organ rupture if the dog has too much)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Things you should never feed your cat<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>onions and chives (both cooked and raw are very dangerous for felines)<\/li>\n<li>garlic<\/li>\n<li>tomato leaves<\/li>\n<li>small bones from fish and other cooked meats (which cats can choke on)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>When your cat or dog is begging for some left-over corn on the cob or raw fish, don\u2019t fall for their charm.
